Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For her role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in church plays when she was young that instilled a passion of theater and performance.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. She was a part of the Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's most trusted friend on the real world and Fischer launched with the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, the year 2019. The show quickly was a hit. Every week, it was in the Top Ten in global downloads which topped 200 million downloaded in the first couple years. In January 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She is the writer of two books: The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide that recounts her experience through St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends who were there (co-authored with Angela Kinsey) This book provides an account of their most memorable relationship and their time in The Office.
