Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14 in 1980) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. in You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh has worked in projects with award-winning directors, actors and producers for most of her career. Ashford is scheduled to be in the role of Kumail Nanjiani, as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford currently works on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. It's also available in the form of an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford will be returning in 2023, and will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the return of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. This production will be produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which created Hamilton. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the nation's first impeachment proceedings during the Over a Century. In two seasons, Ashford played a prominent role in CBS's hit comedy B Positive. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway was awarded both Tony Drama Desk Awards as well as Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role in the role of Essie. Some other Broadway roles for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance, she was awarded a Tony Award nomination. Ashford divides her time between Los Angeles & New York. She was born in Denver and grew up there.
