April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, started taking guitar and piano lessons at age seven. Her interest in creating songs was sparked. April Lockhart wrote her first song"Different" when she was twelve years old. The year she turned 14 was when she was devoted for a long period of time in writing song ideas and practicing her musical skills. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father and to write songs at home in NY as well as LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for her friends who were dealing with peer pressure, disabilities or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart is a partner at famous Clean Beauty brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle blogger with her own growing following. Since she was born without a left hand, the woman has a significant part to play in her. But it's not her entire story. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore her handicap. It also doesn't insist on it. What is the message? The message? That we have many different aspects, that our identity and physical self aren't as they appear. Lockhart has stated on video that she does not want to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't want to become a disability advocate who only talks about that. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. My daily life isn't directly affected by disability. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to issues. It's also part of me, so I believe it's essential to discuss. Lockhart is a true source of inspiration for self-acceptance in general and is currently on a lengthy road to reach the goal. Lockhart admits to having been through times when she was uncomfortable wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms. Today, she wears anything she likes. She also posts her photos on social media. To her, self-love was an extended trip. This is, however, typical for people who has insecurities. I think it's important to surround yourself with people who are able to discern and understand your heart.
