Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics coach. Her first competition was at the national junior championships of 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. At her first international event, which was an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. This was her first time she competed as an older senior. She was the first female ever to perform the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment industry by performing in the form of a figure skater. Together with her brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, at Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment as a teenager. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. Ice Capades featured performances of skating on ice with actors.
